Energy Conservation: Earth Hour 2009 28 March: Fight Global Warming

EarthHour 2009 is a green environment initiative in partnership with Hewlett Packard (HP). It is a movement for initiative against the Global Warming phenomenon and a bid for Energy Conservation. It is an inititative to remind people across the globe about the ill-effects of global warming, by the repeated and careless use of energy materials and energy devices which result in global warming. Energy ConservationIt is going to be an initiative which requires some action on the part of individuals and that action will be to turn off the lights and energy consuming appliances completely for 1 full hour on Saturday, 28th march 2009, from 0830 PM to 0930 PM to save electricity and energy.

Interested in providing a helping hand, then all you have to do (atleast) is to shut down all the power consuming devices from 830 PM to 930 PM on Saturday the 28th of March. This is irrespective of which part of the world you live in, you can take this action in your own timezone.

What more can you do?
The concept and movement is not just for you. It is for making people aware about the effects of global warming and energy conservation. So dont just limit your actions to yourself. Call your friends, relatives, neighbours and tell them what they need to do for that 1 hour on 28th March.
