Google and MTV have tied up to encash upon the very popular TV show called MTV Roadies. This show is aired on MTV and has young participants, guys and girls, who are asked to perform certain “tasks”. The tasks are a bit awkward in nature – like shaving off your head, taking off the clothes to just wear a newspaper, etc. In essence, something that youngsters can enjoy only in their friends group. In front of adults and parents, this show is a clear no-no.
The language used and topics discussed among the participants are again a bit of “adult” entertainment – which may not be considered adult now by the young generation – but COOL.
Google India and MTV have tied up for this show’s online version. What is more interesting is the ads that are coming up about this show. The punchline, which is a hindi slang has a different meaning altogether. I was expecting Google to be following their “Do No Evil” policy, but these punchlines and slangs are not the one’s which will go easy with many individuals. Here is a screenshot of Google Ad with the punch-line.
Let’s see what is there for Google in this campaign. | Table of Contents |
