Tata Cars Price Cut: Post Budget Impact

Following the latest announcements in the budget, Tata Motors, became the first car manufacturer in the country to announce a price cut.
The result of reduction in excise duty and Cenvat reduction, Tatas announced price cuts for its small cars, buses and trucks with the immediate effect.

The price reduction for the people’s car Indica will be around Rs 8,500– 14,600 and Indigo Compact Sedan will become cheaper by around Rs 12,700–15,300. The prices of trucks and buses will be approximately two per cent lower.

The company is still working out the exact range of price reduction for buses and trucks and it will be available soon, the company officials said.

Interestingly, the Tata motors company announced the price reduction of small cars, buses and trucks at a launching occasion.
It was the time of commercial launch of Sumo Grande, the latest passenger vehicle offering of Tata Motors.

The Sumo Grande will be available in three variants – Lx, Ex and Gx and is priced in the range of Rs 6.70 lakh to Rs 7.68 lakh.
