Cisco, known for its switches and routers that funnel rivers of data across the Internet, is moving into other areas, including video conferencing, cable television boxes and e-mail software.
Chambers noted that the company, which has acquired about three dozen companies in the past four years and has more than $29 billion in cash, is poised to snatch up good deals to expand its product line, particularly in consumer areas.

Yes, as President Obama meets with Americans in Indiana, John Chambers prepares for a big company meeting in Bangalore.

No doubt to discuss how many jobs he can move there.

Well Said.. These people are really playing with lives..
When required they will grab the people thru mass recruitment and once used ....... use and throw.....!!

We can understand the global economy.. but lay off need not be the measure for cost reduction.. pay cut of CEO's and higher profiles will save many lives! Hope its been heard by some in that role.
