After Nvidia Lay off, it's time for some action in Spain.
Spanish telecom giant Telefonica is to lay off or fire around 500 workers from its mobile business in Spain. As per the news, there are around 4,450 workers for Telefonica in Spain, out of which 500 may loose their jobs due to the Spain Telefonica Lay off or Job cut.
The reason cited by the Spain Telefonica compnay are the same as that of any other standard company - with productivity and organisational reasons. The news is not being taken in good sense by the union at the firm. Not only that, there is news that there can be be further cuts from other divisions.
Earlier, daily newspaper Expansion said the operator was looking to get rid of up to 700 workers as a result of integrating its fixed telecoms business with its mobile business which trades under the brand Movistar
Initially, it was the major job cuts by the Wall Street Financial Job Cuts, then it was followed by massive job cuts by HP Job Cut lay off and now even Euoropean telephone giant Telefonica is going for a lay off.
