Daimler Layoffs Job Cut: fires 18000 employees (temporary)

The news is not good for the employees of Daimler . We had reported in the month of January 2009 about the Daimler Trucks Freightliner Layoffs Job Cut and now the situation is getting worse for the employees. The recession is taking a toll on all sectors and all of the sectors are feeling the heat. The latest additon to the list of organization which may go for layoffs is the Daimler Trucks. Around 18000 employees may be temporarily fired from their jobs at Daimler.

Total No. of employees of Daimler is not known as of now. But the total no. of employees in the heavy trucks division is learnt to be around 30,000.

As per the reports, the layoffs will be effective from April 12 2009 onwards which happens to be Easter. They will go on until the summers.
