JP Morgan WaMu Layoffs Job Cut: layoff 3400 employees

Intially, we had reported that JP Morgan will go for a big layoffs and now there is the official announcement about it.The ailing financial giant Washington Mutual or WaMu, which was recently taken over by the J P Morgan has finally annouced the correct number of layoffs.JP Morgan WaMu Layoffs Job Cut

So its all happening in real. J P Morgan controlled WaMu will be eliminating 3400 jobs in various sectors.

Around 3400 employees will be asked to quit their jobs.

Where will the JP Morgan WaMu Layoffs Job Cut happen?
The layoffs will happen in Seattle. This was confirmed by the spokesman Tom Kelly.

Around 80% - as there are 4,300 people employed by WaMu in the Seattle. Most branch workers will however retain their jobs.

Fortunately it sounds like those that are losing their jobs are at least being given pretty nice severance packages, and many will have lots of time to find new jobs. It still hurts to lose a job though, and I sincerely hope that those affected by the massive bank failure are able to keep on their feet through these difficult economic times.

Let's hope that alternative jobs are available to the affected employees of JP Morgan WaMu Layoffs Job Cut?.
