No one seems to be shielded from the effect of recession. Things are getting worse for the employees of Assa Abloy Company, being the world's largest lock maker by sales. The Assa Abloy company has decided to go for the layoff. All the sectors are now melting under the pressures of falling market demand and financial problems. As a measure, they are going for layoffs. There will be around 1800 job cuts by the company.

The company is going for a restructuring program. It involves sweeping 1.18 billion Swedish kronor ($141.8 million), firing employees and closing plants. It will also involve movement of work from high cost countries.
