In May 2008, there were news about GM Layoffs. Now there is some more addition to that. Amid threats of strikes from the workers unions, the General motors or GM in Brazil has decided to layoff some 800 workers. The auto sector is feeling the heat across the globe. There will be around 744 job cuts at GM Brazil.

The job cuts will take place at GM's plant in Sao Jose dos Campos, where it employs about 8,900 workers and produces the Corsa subcompact model, the Meriva and Zafira minivans and the Montana pickup truck.
