Intel Layoffs Job Cut: plans to fire 6000 employees

The news is not good for the employees of Intel Corporation, the largest chipmaker for PC and laptops. It is learnt that the company may go for a huge layoff, firing as manay as 6000 employees at various locations globally. Seems like the era of progress is over and we are completely into a big messy situation, where even blue chip companies are unable to keep their employees. The latest additon to the list of companies going for layoffs is the Intel. No one seems to be shielded from the effect of recession. It the Intel Company, which have decided to go for the layoff. We had reported recently about the Intel Layoffs Job Cut and seens like the worst fears have come true.

How many employees will be fired in the Intel layoffs?
There could be around 6000 job cuts by the company. That will be around 10% of the global workforce of the company.

Will there be any plant closure by Intel
Yes. The company plans to close 3 of the "assembly test" facilities in Malaysia and the Philippines and will halt production at plants in Hillsboro, Ore., and Santa Clara, Calif., where older-style wafers were being produced, as per the news.
